Do you really want to get the microsoft reader, I heared really bad rumors and actually some people said that some reasearch people have been able to hack into Microsoft fingerprint reader. But microsoft reader never admitted that their reader is for security just for convenience to log into Windows or other software. But I have my own personal fingerprint reader, its from iM2SYS , not as cute as microsoft's one but it's heavy duty does not break easily and has a very secured fingerprint software, I have been using it for 2 years and supported me well and the best part it works on both firefox and internet explorer.
